"The problem of waste management in the country will be solved in the next four years," Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said during a visit to the municipal solid waste processing facility in Eleftherochori, Ioannina on Tuesday.
The prime minister underlined that the government makes a commitment to "tackle the problem of waste management, which is a problem inherited from the past but which must be resolved on the terms of the future, making use of the best possible technology but also through public-private partnerships that are the most appropriate way of proceeding with this type of project."
After congratulating all those involved, private and public entities, he noted that the project is a model of cooperation between the public and the private sector and added that it will be the model to be followed in other regions.
