Alt Migration Minister meets Merkel's foreign policy advisor

Alternate Migration Minister for Migration Policy Giorgos Koumoutsakos on Monday met with Chancellor Angela Merkel's foreign policy advisor, Jan Hecker.

According to the ministry's announcement, talks focused on "issues pertaining to refugees and migration, within European, regional and international dimensions, including the implementation of the EU-Turkey Joint Declaration."

Koumoutsakos and Hecker agreed to step up their communication to address the challenges of refugee-migration with meetings in the immediate future, at both technical and political levels, in view of deepening Athens-Berlin co-operation on key issues and exchange of know-how.
