Two pairs of Turkish fighter jets infringe Athens FIR

Two pairs of Turkish military aircraft on Tuesday entered Athens FIR without submitting flight plans.

The first pair flew over the islands of Oinousses and Panaghia at 24,000 feet at 09:47 and the second at 10:03, at 10:19, at 10:22 and at 10:25.

In all cases the Turkish F-16 were recognised and intercepted by Greek fighter jets, according to the international rules, the Greek Defence General Staff said.
