Dendias: Greece not prepared to accept Turkish-Libyan document as legally valid

The Greek side is not at all prepared to accept the document signed by Turkey and Libya as a valid legal document signed by two countries, Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias said in Parliament on Friday.
"The Greek government considers the document signed by Turkey with Mr. Sarraj an escalation and is not at all prepared to discuss it as though it were a valid document," Dendias told MPs, while also underlining that it has "substantive issues of legitimacy that nullify its existence."
According to Dendias, the Libyan foreign minister had offered assurances during a meeting held in New York last September that the document, "even as a concept", was not in line with international law and would not be signed, "but was then dragged to Istanbul to sign it".
