ELSTAT: General government surplus at 1.8 bln euros in 2018

The surplus of general government for 2018, in accordance with ESA 2010, came to 1.8 billion euros (1 pct of GDP), while the gross consolidated general government debt at year-end 2018 is estimated at a nominal value of 334.7 billion euros (181.2 pct of GDP), the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) said on Monday.

Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at current market prices reached 184.714 billion euros in 2018, up from 180.218 billion euros in 2017. General government expenditure came to 86.746 billion euros (49.96 pct of GDP) and revenue came to 88.572 billion euros (49.9 pct of GDP).
