Health ministry issues statement on Moria camp fire, clashes

The Health ministry issued a statement on Monday about the fire and the subsequent clashes that occurred at the Moria Reception and Identification Centre for refugees and migrants on the island of Lesvos. According to the announcement, a total of nine men, six women and two children, including one infant, were transferred to the Mytilene General Hospital.

"The majority of those injured have orthopedic injuries and respiratory problems. None of them are considered at risk and it is expected that they will be discharged within the next few days," the announcement said, adding that the charred corpse of a woman has also been transfferred to the hospital morgue.
