Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias had a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu on Thursday, in order to discuss the preparations for the next Greek-Turkish Cooperation Council.

The two foreign ministers' meeting was a follow-up to that between Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, where the two leaders agreed that the next Greek-Turkish Cooperation Council should take place in the first half of 2020.

In this context, a mutual desire for a better climate in Greek-Turkish relations and for better communication between the two sides was stressed.
