Gennimata: Lagarde said what KINAL has been saying for the last two years

Movement for Change (Kinima Allagis, KINAL) leader Fofi Gennimata quoted a statement by European Central Bank (ECB) President-elect Christine Lagarde's statement on the reduction of the primary surplus targets, while speaking on SKAI TV on Thursday.

Gennimata criticised main opposition SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras, saying that he can't act as a "counterweight" to Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis' conservative policies, but also Mitsotakis, who she said was not demanding a change in primary suplus targets.

"And Lagarde comes and says what I and KINAL have been saying for the last two years. Tsipras and Mitsotakis have a plan that calls for high primary surpluses and low public investments when the opposite should happen," she said.
