Two ferries to arrive at Samothrace on Wednesday

The Shipping Ministry has taken measures for the restoration of the ferry link with Samothrace.

The catamaran Andros Jet has set sail at noon from the island of Naxos and is expected to dock at Samothrace at 22:00. It will leave immediately for the port and Alexandroupolis and will return to Samothrace.

On Thursday, Andros Jet will carry out three journeys and if necessary and additional in order for the island to decongest.

The specific ferry can carry 600 passengers and 75 vehicles.

Additionally, the ferry Anax will be at the port on Samothrace on Wednesday noon to transfer trucks with goods to Alexandroupolis.

The next route of Anax from Alexandroupolis to Samothrace is scheduled for 16:00 on Wednesday and from Samothrace to Alexandroupolis at 21:00 on Wednesday.

Hundreds of tourists remain stranded on Samothrace since Sunday due to an engine failure to the ferry linking the island with Alexandroupolis.
