Former min. Papathanassiou new chairman, CEO of Hellenic Petroleum

Former Economy and Finance Minister Yiannis Papathanassiou was appointed non-executive chairman of the board of Hellenic Petroleum (ELPE), the company said on Friday, and Andreas Shiamishis was appointed CEO.

In a statement, ELPE said that the other members of the board include Georgios Alexopoulos, Michalis Kefalogiannis, Alexandros Metaxas, Constantine Lambropoulos, Loukas Papazoglou and Alkiviadis Psarras.

The new board replaces the one appointed by the Greek state in 2018, it said, adding that its first meeting is scheduled on August 7.
