A mother and her three daughters were injured when they jumped in the sea off a flaming speedboat on Sunday afternoon in the Sithonia section of Chalkidiki, northern Greece.
The family, all Serb nationals, were on the Serb-flagged vessel when an engine blast led to the fire. The father managed to drive the vessel to the shore.
All family members were treated at the local health center of Agios Nikolaos, and then transferred to the Papageorgiou Hospital in Thessaloniki preventatively by the EKAV ambulance services.
Their 4-year-old daughter, initially reported as being 8, sustained injuries on her chest and abdomen, while the mother and the eldest daughter, 14, have slight burn injuries.
The Coast Guard is investigating.
