Employment flows in the private sector positive in January-June

Wage employment in the private sector rose in June as the country recorded a positive balance in hirings/dismissals in the month, "Ergani", the Labor Ministry's IT system said in a report on Thursday.

The report on wage employment flows in June showed that hirings totaled 289,489, while dismissals or voluntary retirements amounted to 258,082.

Employment flows showed a negative balance of 2,213 job positions in June compared with the same month last year. In the six-month period from January to June, job hirings totaled 1,419,602 and dismissals or totaled 1,123,136, leaving a positive balance of 296,466 job positions in the country.
