All voting centers fully operational, Interior Min. Sec'y General says

Interior Ministry Secretary General Konstantinos Poulakis said voting during Sunday's general elections was proceeding smoothly.

Speaking earlier on Sunday, Poulakis said that all 21,748 voting centers were operating smoothly, and all 59 electoral regions contacted by phone. "Minor issues reported were resolved, and there is no problem at this time", he said.

He added that the Interior Ministry's call center for assistance to voters (tel. 213-1361500) "is operational, with 30 Ministry staff who inform voters on where they should be voting".

In previous days, the Ministry had encouraged voters to find out about their polling stations by going online at www.ypes.gr, resorting to the phone line if they need additional clarifications.
