"There is full mobilisation of state mechanisms to prevent and address the problems created by the cold front," said government spokesperson Christos Tarantilis on Monday, beginning the online briefing of the press. "Consecutive meetings are being held and all necessary initiatives are being taken in collaboration with regional authorities and municipalities," he added.
He also referred to the support measures for enterprises, employees and the unemployed, noting: "As the restrictions on economic and social activities continue, the government is extending the support measures for enterprises, employees and the unemployed. The total cost of the measures already taken for the first quarter of 2021 is 5.9 billion euros."
